Different translations use different phrases for what the psalmist is looking for here.
HCSB uses "show us favor."
NASB uses "be gracious."
NIV and KJV use "have mercy."
Whether it's favor, grace or mercy (is there really much difference in them?) the point is that it is "the One enthroned in heaven" that we should look to. The world will give us scorn, scoffing and contempt as we follow the Lord, but knowing we receive the Lord's favor makes it worth following Him and looking to Him.
Jesus said, (Matthew 6) 22 "Blessed are you when men hate you, and ostracize you, and insult you, and scorn your name as evil, for the sake of the Son of Man. 23 "Be glad in that day and leap for joy, for behold, your reward is great in heaven. For in the same way their fathers used to treat the prophets.
So don't be discouraged. Do what is right and look to the One enthroned in heaven and the scoffing and contempt of the world will be replaced by the grace and favor of the Lord.
