150 Days of Psalms - Psalm 93

When you think of the power of flood waters and of the ocean waves and even how the debris from Japan's tsunami from last year is now making it's way to our coast, it makes a great picture of God's power.

But here's a verse that may have slipped past you.
"holiness is the beauty of Your house"

It wasn't the gold or beautiful tapestries, it wasn't the smell of incense or even the sound of skillful musicians playing and a choir singing wonderful music - "holiness" is the beauty. Of course it is God's holiness that makes His "house" beautiful, but as we are holy we bring beauty to the world around us.

I Peter 1 says, "13 Therefore, prepare your minds for action, keep sober in spirit, fix your hope completely on the grace to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ. 14 As obedient children, do not be conformed to the former lusts which were yours in your ignorance, 15 but like the Holy One who called you, be holy yourselves also in all your behavior; 16 because it is written, "YOU SHALL BE HOLY, FOR I AM HOLY."
