The Proverbs Challenge - Day 14

Feel free to leave a comment about your favorite verse from Proverbs 14.

15 The naive believes everything, But the sensible man considers his steps.

There are so many areas of life where dishonest men try to -and often succeed - take advantage of the naive. Wisdom is needed in every area of life. I think a wise man/woman should study, have counselors, read books etc so wise decisions and clear direction in every area of life: spiritual, financial, mental, emotional, relational etc etc.

9 The stupid ridicule right and wrong, but a moral life is a favored life. (from The Message)

As more and more has become permissible in our society and as people do not espouse family values—in fact they denigrate it—then nothing is called “wrong.” If you have a frame of reference where things are not “wrong,” then you are not bad if you do those things. Our society keeps pushing the lines of what is acceptable behavior—in public and in private. Now more than ever, a Christian needs to live a life of morality.

There needs to be a right and wrong, and we need to look to God for that standard. As a loving Father, He has set rules and limits for a reason.
