Poor David..... His spirit was fainting.
4 Look and see, there is no one at my right hand; no one is concerned for me. I have no refuge; no one cares for my life.
So what's a guy to do?
He cried out loud to the LORD.
He asked for mercy.
He poured out his complaints and told God his troubles.
He knew God was his refuge.
And his portion in the land of the living. The New Living Translation says it this way, "You are all I really want in life."
And, David promised to praise God when He brought him through.
7 Set me free from my prison, that I may praise your name. Then the righteous will gather about me because of your goodness to me.
