Psalm 104 - The God of Creation

Psalm 104 tells how God continues to be involved in His creation. He is still in control of light and the heavens and the waters. They do as He commands. He gives water to birds and beasts. He provides food for animals and man.

That's a somewhat bland summary of a beautiful psalm. Many people believe that God created the world, but too many also believe that then He just stepped back and is letting everything just spin and happen without Him.

But the psalmist understands that everything is from God and He is still actively involved in everything. (I'm not sure I'm wording this well.) I guess what I'm trying to say is that as we see creation being taken care of - watered and fed and sheltered - that God is the One that provides.

Jesus said that sparrows are sold for pretty much nothing, but God knows when one falls. Matthew 10:29

And here's the really awesome part.

You are more valuable than many sparrows! Matthew 10:31

Matthew 6:26 Jesus said, "Look at the birds of the air, that they do not sow, nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not worth much more than they?
